Why We Built This Site
Colorado gives the public broad access to many court and public records, but the hard part is figuring out which office holds the file you want. The Costilla Combined Court in San Luis is the local access point for District Court and County Court files, including felony, civil, domestic relations, probate, misdemeanor, traffic, small claims, and protection-order matters. The County Clerk and Recorder handles marriage licensing, recorded documents, elections, motor vehicle services, and Board of County Commissioners records. The Sheriff handles local jail, arrest-report, and criminal justice records requests. Add San Luis Municipal Court and statewide Colorado Judicial, CBI, DMV, DOC, and VINE tools, and the picture gets crowded fast. We pull together the contact details, search portals, fee schedules, and request steps for each of these offices into one place.

Only the issuing court or government office can provide a certified copy with an official seal. We can point you to the right office, but the document has to come from them.
